Renaissance Education, Music and Sports Center

Renaissance Education, Music, Sports (E.M.S.) is a South Bronx based 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Founded in September 2001 by Bervine Harris and Darren Quinlan, it is the fastest growing education, music and sports program in N.Y.C. Our organization currently serves over 1,300 youth in 21 schools and community centers in the five boroughs, 18 of these and grounds its work in a 4,000 square foot space on Third Avenue and 163rd Street. We are also in the process of expanding to a new 12,000 square foot space a few blocks away. For the past decade, our organization's mission has been to maximize the potential of at-risk inner-city youth through music and sports programs, reinforcing the values of education, self empowerment, family and community.
