Rachel Kneebone: Regarding Rodin

Sunday, Aug 12 11:00a to 6:00p
at Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn, NY
Price: Admission is based on suggested contribution
Age Suitability: All Ages

Fifteen works by French master Auguste Rodin, selected from the Museum's collection by British artist Rachel Kneebone and shown alongside eight of her own large-scale porcelain sculptures. The exhibition highlights the artists’ shared interest in the representation of mourning, ecstasy, death, and vitality in figurative sculpture. The pairing also offers a visual comparison of the two sculptors’ materials and processes. The centerpiece of the exhibition is Kneebone’s, The Descent (2008).
