Giddyup, cowboy. We are riding into the Argentinean sunset on this stop of our World Cuisine series, where we are showcasing breakfasts from all over the world. They say ‘Breakfast is the most important meal of the day,’ but we at Ger-Nis are betting that ‘they’ aren’t Argentinean. A simple affair relative to some other stops on this tour, the Argentinean breakfast sticks to the staples: Medialunas (Argentinean breads) and potatoes. Served with the traditional grassy tea of the land, Yerba Mate, and accompanied by Chimmichurri, a tangy sauce made from finely chopped parsley, minced garlic, olive oil, oregano, vinegar, and red pepper flakes, the Argentinean breakfast will get you on up and prepared for a long day on the range.
