Turn Your Arduino into a Web Server!

Saturday, Mar 3 3:30p
at NYC Resistor (New Space), Brooklyn, NY
Age Suitability: None Specified

Have you wanted to hook your Arduino-powered creations up to the Internet? Want to read your sensors remotely or control servos while you're on the go? This class will explore how you can run a micro web server on your Arduino board. We'll be working with the standard Arduino Ethernet libraries and the official Wiznet-based Arduino Ethernet shield.
The class will also go over the basics of Ethernet networks, TCP/IP, and web servers, and it will cover how to automate web access to the Arduino so it can be controlled by programs running on remote computers. We'll also cover the needed security measures to prevent unauthorized access to your Arduino board, and we'll look at how to use common Ethernet-to-Wifi bridges to make the setup wireless
You can get a sneak-peak at the code for the class at http://webduino.googlecode.com
2 hours, taught by Ben Combee. Students will be expected to bring their own Arduino and laptop.
