The Palumbo family and the Bonilla family have joined together to bring the very best casual restaurant, pizza, and bar to La Bella's, a long established restaurant in Murray Hill. We fell in love with La Bella's the first time we walked into the place. In fact, we loved it so much, we bought it! Our kitchen is supervised by Anna Palumbo, who was born in the province of Foggia in the town of San Marco La Catala, a small town built around an ancient medieval castle that still resides in the center of town. The castle dates to the 13th century and the Sanctuary of the Madonna of Josafat, built in the 16th century, provide a rich history that goes back to the 12th century. Anna first learned how to make rich Italian tomato sauce from fresh plum tomatoes, canning fresh tomatoes for days to make sauce for Sunday dinner. In addition to overseeing the kitchen and the quality of our cuisine, she bakes Anna's Famous Cheesecake and other fresh desserts.
