The William Penn State Forest, 901 acres, is located in five separate tracts. The Goat Hill Serpentine Barrens Public Wild Plant Sanctuary is a 602 acre tract located in the southwest corner of Chester County. Little Tinicum Island, about 200 acres, is in the Delaware River estuary, Delaware County. It is located in a heavily industrialized section of the state immediately southwest of the Philadelphia International Airport. The David R. Johnson Natural Area is in Bucks County, and contains 56 acres. In Berks County, the Ruth Zimmerman Natural Area contains 33 acres, and the Cornwall Tower site, ten acres, is in Lancaster County.
