Exhibit Reception March 2nd at 8 PM. This reception will launch our 3 month exhibit dedicated to the women filmmakers of Fort Lee. Fort Lee, birthplace of the American film industry, from 1909 through World War I, was the center of film production in the United States. Here such stars as Fox Studio’s vamp Theda Bara and the first woman director in cinema history Alice Guy Blache made film history. This exhibit will feature archival photos from the personal scrapbook of Fox star Theda Bara.
