Studio 323 New York was established with the vision of promoting creative thinking through the cooperation of different genres and media, as well as through collaborations with hand-picked artists who we see as expanding the definition of what art can be. Our featured artists integrate the fundamentals of social thought and awareness with various art forms, including painting, sculpture, clothing design, music, film, and many others. For us, creativity has no limitations and should not bound by social circumstances. Above all, Studio 323 seeks to introduce the general public to unique and conceptual designs, which stand out in today’s art scene.
As the owner of Studio 323 New York, Jonathan Chánduví, a third generation antique furniture and art restorer, is also able to contribute his own unique background in fine arts to the overall direction of the studio and its collaborations. Through Studio 323, Chánduví has been able to bring to life his vision of a union between his restored pieces laden with history and today’s urban New York art world. In addition to working with up and coming New York artists and designers, Chánduví also features his own unique works incorporating his vast knowledge of restoration techniques passed down from a family of masters from different eras and sectors of the arts, including sculptors, wood and metal workers, and gilders. Using this background, Chánduví produces a new art form outside of mainstream styles, through the further incorporation of acrylic and other painting with these numerous media.
