Empower Girls With MATH
Third to fifth grade girls will certainly be inspired by learning about the female mathematicians and scientists who have contributed greatly to our society. Girls are invited to select a female math or science pioneer, read her biography, and come to the event prepared with a poster outlining her accomplishments. Girls can also dress as their chosen pioneer. Parents and girls will mingle at the bookstore and have a chance to guess the identity of each girl’s pioneer and to learn more about these remarkable women. A suite of Stem books will be featured at the bookstore for the month as well.
