The Frelinghuysen Arboretum is one of thirty-seven recreational and cultural facilities operated by the Morris County Park Commission. The 127-acre property features a large collection of trees and shrubs, themed gardens, an education center and miles of nature trails. As a facility of the county park system, The Frelinghuysen Arboretum is open seven days a week free of charge. Through the continuing commitment and volunteer efforts of The Friends of The Frelinghuysen Arboretum, The Frelinghuysen Arboretum offers a wide variety of programming to foster and develop public awareness, knowledge and enjoyment of horticulture and the natural world
