Duck Deli Bbq Restaurant

In 1987 Dr. Ron Forlano, a retired dentist from Warminster, Pa., moved with his wife June to the little beach community of Duck on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Their four sons were sent into the world to fend for themselves. The youngest, Ron Jr. was a local rock musician and had his own painting business. David, the artist, became successful with his fine art and jewelry under the business name Citi Zen Cane based in Philadelphia. The oldest, after deciding that teaching music was not for him, became interested in the restaurant business and worked for many years as a cook, pizza chef and restaurant manager. In 1988 the former dentist realized a dream and opened the Duck Deli with entrepreneur son Ken. David drew the Duck Logo and the rest was history. Currently, the Duck Deli is the place to go to get "Outrageous BBQ" on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Ron Jr. and partner Jay have opened the Duck Deli To Go restaurant in Southern Shores also located on the Outer Banks.
