The team behind Lugo Menswear opens Lugo Caffè, an extension of the brand’s celebration of Italian lifestyle and la dolce vita. Lugo Caffè, located at One Penn Plaza, captures the convivial charm of the Italian café culture and pays homage to the casual elegance found throughout the cafés of Italy. A stylish addition to a neighborhood lacking in restaurants, Lugo Caffè offers a selection of antipasti, pizzas, pastas and meat & fish entrées. The menu from chef Greg Lombardi includes eggplant caponata, wild mushroom pizza with truffle oil & sea salt, Berkshire pork chop with Tuscan kale & pancetta and rigatoni all’amatriciana with pancetta, baby tomatoes & caramelized onions. Designed by Jun Aziki (Forge, Rayuela), the décor marries the classic and the modern while invoking an overall sense of relaxation, coziness and charm. In addition, the staff is outfitted in shirts and ties from the Lugo Menswear collection. The inside bar area, dining room and café seats 150. A private dining room can host parties of up to 40 guests.
