In a joint venture with new partner Cristina Gentile, Manolo Caisaguano has opened Vicino Firenze a few doors away from his successful original Italian eatery, Firenze. The new, larger (but still cozy) venue is just as warm and welcoming and sure to draw an equally faithful following.Like its popular neighbor, Vicino Firenze features a full repertoire of such tantalizing Tuscan specialties as Crostini Toscani, Pappardelle Boscaiola, and Bistecca alla Vicino Firenze (prepared tableside). And beyond the classic cuisine, culinary consultant Larry Gentile recommends some eclectic offerings he's created especially to satisfy today’s more adventurous palates. Try the Degustazione di Salume, Filetto di Maiale Incrostato or Goat Cheese Tortelloni Bella Cristina.
