David Rabin and Will Regan, the hospitality veterans behind such venerable destinations as Lotus and The Double Seven, have partnered with chef Sue Torres (executive chef and owner of Suenos) to create Los Dados, a West Village restaurant steeped in the rich culinary traditions of Mexico. Los Dados will be located at 73 Gansevoort Street at Washington, and will offer a broad selection of regional Mexican dishes celebrating the simple recipes of everyday Mexican life. In addition, there will be a tequila-focused cocktail list featuring predominantly 100 percent agave tequilas and hard-to-find mezcals. The 75-seat restaurant will also feature an adjacent taqueria, serving Mexican street food, handmade tortillas and tacos, available throughout the day and late-night, including take-away and delivery orders. In the warmer months, Los Dados offers outdoor seating for 50, weather permitting.
