Welcome to Madrid & Lisbon Bar and Restaurant, located in the heart of the Down Neck section of Newark, NJ. We were one of first Portuguese and Spanish bar and restaurant establishments located on this side of Penn Station. Doors opened during the blossoming of the Ironbound Community in the early seventies, as it became heavily populated with Iberian culture. We specialize in traditional American, Portuguese, and Spanish cuisine, and our delightful daily specials are listed. Bar side is infamous in our community for hosting the largest soccer events of the year, from Europe to local games. On our numerous televisions you can watch several games all at once without moving. Our restaurant has a classic European villa theme, from our unique hand carved doors to our two story rock wall along side our romantic stair case. That leads to our upstairs private dining area with a window view that can see the stars. The second floor of the restaurant is a dining hall that hosts dozens of parties annually from banquets, to birthdays, and much more!
