We have taken two of the best things on earth and paired them together - Grilled Cheese and Craft Beer - and paired them together in unexpected and delicious ways.
That's right, there's no American Cheese and Wonder Bread in sight. Instead, we use the best quality locally sourced ingredients for these creations, as well as hard to find imports from around the world.
How does a Yards Saison paired with Old Bay cheddar on brioche, with a mini crab cake sound?
Or maybe an Italian Cacio de Lazio on Herbes de Provence bread with tomato & kalamata olive puree along with New Holland Brewing's Golden Cap Saison Ale?
If that isn't good enough, after four delectable cheese and beer courses, we finish off with a dessert to die for...perhaps a Victory Storm King Stout Strawberry shortcake with drunken berries and fresh orange whipped cream, or a Darkhorse Raspberry Ale sea salt chocolate mousse...
Hungry yet? These are just some of the items we've served at past events (which always sell out), so don't miss out on what's coming up next!
Bring your vegetarian friends, too - we can accommodate them on all pairings! Vegetarian tickets for Grilled Cheese & Craft Beer Tastings now available online, over the phone or in person!
Event
1st course; Voodoo Pilzilla (Kellerbier/Zwickelbier, 6.7%)
Pilzilla is a beer that Voodoo has been brewing for years. Each year it gets bigger and bigger. Nicknamed "The beer that took over Tokyo". It is an unfiltered Keller Bier. Nicely hopped at this point with 9 different kinds of hops at 10 additions and about 7 % alc. Each year they add another variety of hop and bump the alcohol a bit. This is listed on Beer Advocate as the highest rated Kellerbier in the world.
2nd course; Lakefront Eastside Dark (Munich Dunkel Lager, 5.5%)
Honoring the eclectic East Side of the city, this Bavarian dark lager is a blend of three specialty grains, creating a rich, smooth, dark beer that anyone can enjoy.
Pours a clear, dark color with a nice off-white head. Hints of roasted malts find their way into the aroma, and form a pleasant background to the dark, rich flavor. The German lager yeast rounds out this brew with a smooth, complex finish. It's art in brewed form!
3rd course; Boulder Sweaty Betty Blonde (Hefeweizen, 5.2%)
A bavarian style wheat beer. Unfiltered and cloudy with hints of clove and banana.
4th course; Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold (Dortmunder Style Lager, 5.8%)
A Traditional German Lager brewed with all German grain & yeast.
5th course; Rogue Deadguy (maibock/helles bock, 6.5%)
In the style of a German Maibock, using our proprietary Pacman ale yeast. Deep honey in color with a malty aroma and a rich hearty flavor
