Run! Super-Athletes of the Sierra Madre

Saturday, May 26, 2012 10:00a to 5:00p
Penn Museum Philadelphia, PA

Considered to be the world’s greatest long-distance runners, the Tarahumara people live within the canyons in Chihuahua, Mexico. Competing on mountainous terrain in daylong races of up to 100 miles, the Tarahumara people have maintained the strength, stamina, and isolation that has ensured their survival. Experience the races for yourself through the vibrant photography of Texas-born photographer and journalist Diana Molina, who has documented the Sierra Madre for more than a decade.
