Broadway Dreams

Philadelphia's finest talent will join Broadway's brightest stars when the Kimmel Center and the Broadway Dreams Foundation presents Express Yourself, a one-night-only Broadway concert. Acclaimed NYC director Matt Lenz (Hairspray, Beauty and the Beast) will direct the concert which will feature local talent and Broadway stars performing selections from the 2012 Tony Award-winning musical Once, London's smash hit and Broadway bound Matilda, Chicago, Hairspray and more.

For the fourth consecutive… Show more year, The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts has partnered with The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF), a national non-profit performing arts training program that teaches aspiring actors, singers and dancers how to kick start their careers. BDF provides local performers the opportunity to work with and learn from Broadway professionals and to better understand the musical theatre industry from the audition, through the rehearsal and to the opening night performance.

Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown (Parade, 13) joins BDF Artistic Director Nicholas Rodriguez ('One Life to Live,' Tarzan), Acclaimed NYC director Matt Lenz (Hairspray, Beauty and the Beast) along with Broadway favorites Tituss Burgess (The Little Mermaid), Deidre Goodwin (A Chorus Line), Tyler Hanes (A Chorus Line), Morgan James (Godspell), Donnie Kehr (Billy Elliot), Matthew Scott (Jersey Boys), Kirsten Scott (Follies), Tony Vincent ('The Voice,' Jesus Christ Superstar), NY talent agent Josh Pultz, Broadway Clear Talent Group NY Office Director Jamie Harris and Telsey + Co casting directors Craig Burns and Rachel Hoffman.
