2:00 PM May 25, 2011 Philadelphia Korean Memorial CEREIMONY
'The Lone Bugler' of New Jersey Busy again in Philadelphia Pa "The Lone Bugler" of Bordentown Township New Jersey will perform more then 21 Ceremonial Salutes in honors of our nations current, former and fallen military Heroes.
Richard Pinter – a retired Army First Sergeant – has been playing "Taps" at military funerals and other events for 38 years while serving in our military and 11 years since his military retirement in 2000. This year one of his performances will take place on 2:00 PM Wednesday May 25th at The Philadelphia Korean Memorial located at Front & Dock Streets. The performance will include a Flag Lowering Ceremony with the reading of the names of our Fallen Military Heroes from the area and an educational talk where you will learn the true meaning of Memorial Day, The history of the Bugle, the significance of the 21 Gun Salute, your Civilian Salute to our Nation, what a Gold Star Mother is and much more.
The 70-year-old Bordentown Township resident says these performances are his way of helping provide our nation's final form of gratitude to veterans and their families. Many service members never receive this final honor from our nation “Taps” sounded by a live Military Bugler at their passing. He says these performances bring closure for the families and a sense of comfort to him that his comrades have received this final honor, respect and appreciation from our grateful nation for the sacrifices they made to keep us the “Land of the Free”. He gives this talk and ceremony at 21 locations during this Memorial Month. Many of the performances are at schools educating the children about our nations military and the sacrifices made for them.
Attendees at this performance will receive information about benefits veterans are entitled to. 1SG Pinter is inviting you to attend this public performance and to bring the children.
