Born in Queens, NY, Pasquale Malinconico comes from a family of food establishment owners and operators. He knew that one day he would follow in the family tradition and open his very own restaurant. As an Italian-American he grew up with a large family and traditional Italian dishes served regularly at home. After only one visit to the La Bottega in Garden City, he knew that this was the restaurant for him. An establishment that truly captured the essence of Italian Cuisine. Not long after this one visit Pasquale started the process to bring this amazing quality of gourmet food to Bayside Queens. On October 12th, 2010 La Bottega - Bayside opened their doors. Continuing to bring traditional Gourmet Italian Cuisine to the masses and done so by an Italian-American with the food industry running through his veins. Come join us and experience what true Italian Cuisine is all about! Here at La Bottega Bayside we serve a large variety of panini, salads and a weekly changing menu. In addition to a few other locations, our La Bottega also offers Gluten Free menu items. Join us for a quick lunch at our counter seating or a relaxed meal in our dining room or take out your favorite meal. We also feature and extensive wine menu of imported wines from various countries, also we carry a wide variety of micro handcrafted beer from all around the world.
