A native of Naples, Italy, Patrizio Buanne's first two albums of Italian standards have sold over one million copies worldwide, and won the dark, ruggedly handsome singer legions of fans. Known for spectacular performances that truly engage the audience, Patrizio has an instinctive ability to convey real emotion as a singer. He has already performed for luminaries like The Pope and The Royal Family, and his new CD is simply titled Patrizio. It includes the Italian compositions with which he made his name, but there are also standards from the Great American Songbook, and new songs written specifically for him. Says Patrizio, "I'm not just an Italian guy singing Italian songs... I'm searching for that same, timeless quality... I pick a song where the words really mean something..."
