Reminder - March 8 only - Bonsai How-to at the Teaneck Garden Club meeting

Thursday, Mar 1 7:30p to 9:30p
Price: free
Phone: (201) 694-7707
Age Suitability: All Ages

Len Schwartz (bonsai-er for 20 years) will use pictures and live trees to demonstrate why bonsai is a challenging horticultural discipline. He will describe how to make a bonsai; how to maintain one; and will give fieldmarks for distinguishing well-crafted from poorly-made bonsai. Bonsai was first developed centuries ago in China & Japan.
Len’s interest in dwarf trees dates to when, at age fourteen, he grew citrus trees from seed. He is a member of several Bonsai Societies.
