Meet "Hush" author at YJCC

Judy Brown, pseudonymously known as Eishes Chayil, author of Hush, will be at the YJCC for a book club meeting featuring her book. Hush takes the reader into Brooklyn’s Chasidic community with its joy and celebration, and sometimes, its secrets. The author, raised in the Chasidic world, used a pseudonym to protect her family. After the murder of 8-year-old Leiby Kletzky, she chose to reveal her identity in a Huffington Post essay, “Orthodox Jewish Child Abuse: Shattering a Traumatic Silence.”
